Clients supply the fabric of their choice, which is then hand-stitched by The New England Shutter Company's team of highly skilled craftsmen to cover panels within a wooden frame. Shown here with fabric from Neisha Crosland in a solid walnut shutter, there is a wide range of hardwoods available to choose from including cherry, maple, oak and painted tulipwood.
Louvred shutters can also be covered with fabric or even faux leather and suede. If the fabric is patterned, the designs are painstakingly applied in a seamless finish - or even lined up with wallpaper for a particularly eye-catching effect.
