An exciting new architectural exhibition is coming to the Royal Academy of Arts, London. The influence of Nicholas Hawksmoors iconic and imaginative baroque buildings are illustrated through images, quotations and film interviews. It opens on 4th February, through to 17th June 2012.

As Christmas beckons we’ve been discussing our wishlist…

The ‘Home Sweet Home’ nightlight by Dwell would be perfect to add a warm glow to the Christmas table.

Who could resist the uber cool jewelery by Fiona Paxton.

For fellow Londoners, Nigel Peakes latest book, Bridges, is a delightful collection of illustrations of 34 bridges over the Thames.

The Historic Lighting company is brilliant for vintage lighting fittings and fabric covered cable! At The New England Shutter Company we are particularly taken with the pink cable, great for those ’statement’ pendant lights! For anyone searching for interesting filament light bulbs, the sister company Filament Light Bulbs has a great selection. The stamped brown paper packaging is also a nice touch.
