Owning our own joinery workshop gives us complete control and flexibility to design and manufacture truly bespoke shutters to meet our clients’ specific needs. We are the only company that can vary every element within the design of a shutter; from the blade size, the distance between the blades, rail and side stile sizes, to the depths and height of a midrail. This flexibility allows us to design a shutter that is made to fit, not made to measure. Investing in shutters is as rewarding as investing in a piece of bespoke furniture as we design to enhance the architectural and interior design features within your living areas or commercial space.
We source only the finest grade of timber from environmentally responsible suppliers. Our Tulipwood comes from the Appalachian Mountains in the eastern New England region of America. Our shutters are caringly hand sanded and hand sprayed to give a fine furniture grade finish which allows you to see the wood grain on the final finish. We do not use laminate or finger joints when assembling our shutters. These details make a huge difference to their overall look and quality feel. To preserve the natural look of the timber, stained, oiled or lacquered finishes are applied by hand to a variety of solid woods such as Ash, Oak, Walnut, Maple, Tulipwood, Iroko and Teak. Attention to detail goes beyond our design process through to the personal service we provide to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Beautiful stitched faux leather and suede shutters are exclusive to The New England Shutter Company. Our experienced tailors machine stitch the fabric and hand cover each tulip wood shutter with incredible attention to detail. We are the only company in the world to manufacture these exclusive designs.
We have Agents throughout the UK and in Norway, Copenhagen, France, Belgium, Holland, Dubai and Kuwait. They will visit your home/premises to advise on shutter design, measure and the same agent will return to fit your shutters. If we do not have an Agent in your area, we will try to accommodate you.
