Make a style statement with our collection of Natural Wood shutters.
All shutters designed and manufactured by The New England Shutter Company are made from natural solid woods. We do not use MDF, laminated or finger jointed woods. In a natural finish the range includes the lighter colours such as Maple, Ash, Oak and Beech. The warmer colours include Teak, Cherry and Cedar.
The darker woods are Walnut and Mahogany. We will also source sustainable exotic woods such as Pearwood and Ovangkol. As standard our natural finish solid wood shutters are finished by hand using Osmo® hardwax oil, which gives a lustrous finish and enables the wood to breathe. All natural woods can also be lacquered, stained or limed to create an individual finish. When oiled, Teak and Cedar are suitable for wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms and can also be painted with water resistant paint.

Cherry wood has a distinctive warm reddish colour which matures and becomes richer with age. Our natural finish solid cherry wood shutters are oiled so the wood can breathe and have a lustrous finish.

Maple

Our Oak shutters have a beautiful grain and light colour. When painted or stained the pronounced grain shows through. This creates a different look compared to the smoother painted tulip wood. Our natural finish solid oak shutters are oiled so the wood can breathe and have a lustrous finish.
