Kx club
Thorp design approached The New England Shutter Company to design custom window shutters to ensure total privacy for members. KX (‘Kicks’), a luxurious private health club, boasts an international star-studded membership.
The Manhattan shutters were manufactured in 115mm blades with extra-large rails and stiles to meet the large proportions of the tall, wide windows. We installed tall café-style shutters to give screening at the bottom of the windows whilst allowing natural daylight to flood in at the top.
The shutters in the members lounge and restaurant are solid Tulipwood covered with dark Brown Faux leather whilst the exercise rooms use a solid Tulipwood painted in a bitter chocolate colour. We sourced extra-large hinges which were custom painted to match.
